Spiritual gifts

The gift of Prophecy

You hear truth clearly and you say it plainly. God uses your voice to call people back to Him and forward into who He made them to be.

Romans 12:6 · 1 Corinthians 12:10 · 1 Corinthians 12:28 · Ephesians 4:11

“Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith.”Romans 12:6

In the church

You speak into moments others tiptoe around — a word in a service, a correction offered in love, a warning nobody wanted but everybody needed. Ministries stay honest when you are in the room.

Outside the church

At work and at home you name what is really going on. You are the one who says the hard, kind, accurate sentence, and people remember it years later.

In childhood

As a child you were 'too blunt' or 'always asking why.' You noticed when grown-ups said one thing and did another, and you said so.

In adulthood

Matured, that same bluntness becomes discernment wrapped in mercy. You learn timing, and your words start to build rather than only expose.

With others who share it

Others with this gift can sharpen you or set you on fire. Covenant with one or two of them to pray before you speak and to check each other's tone.

Your #GLO plan — Give Light, Offer Hope

  • Ask God each morning for one person who needs a true word today.
  • Write the word down before you say it — clarity protects love.
  • Pair every correction you give with one specific encouragement.
  • Join or start a prayer team where words are tested, not performed.
